Privacy policy

Last updated: November 26, 2025

Pixqon is a small one person 3D studio. I use Shopify to power this store and to provide you with a simple way to browse, buy and download Pixqon products (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use and share your personal information when you visit, use or make a purchase through pixqon.com or otherwise communicate with me about the Services.

By using the Services you agree that your personal information will be handled as described here. If anything in this policy conflicts with my Terms of Service, this policy controls for how personal information is collected, used and shared.

1. Personal information I collect or process

“Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include anonymous data that cannot be linked back to you. Depending on how you use the Services and local law, I may collect or process the following:

  • Contact details. Name, email address, billing address, shipping address and phone number if you choose to provide it.
  • Account information. If you create a customer account, this can include your login details, preferences and settings.
  • Transaction information. Items you view, add to your cart, wishlist or purchase, as well as returns, exchanges, cancellations and order history.
  • Payment and billing information. Payment card details and other payment information are collected and processed for me by Shopify and its payment providers. I do not store your full payment card number, but I may receive limited details like payment method, status and total amount so I can manage your order.
  • Communications. Information you share when you email me, such as questions about orders, STL files, 3D printers, feedback or other support requests.
  • Device information. Technical data about the device and browser you use, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, time zone and similar identifiers.
  • Usage information. Information about how you interact with the Services, including pages visited, links clicked, search terms and how you move through the store.
  • Inferences. In some cases Shopify or analytics tools may draw simple inferences about your preferences based on your activity, such as which types of products you seem interested in.

2. Where this information comes from

  • Directly from you. For example when you place an order, create an account, contact me, or enter information at checkout.
  • Automatically through the Services. Through cookies, pixels and similar technologies when you browse the store or use your account.
  • From service providers. For example payment processors, shipping services, customer support tools or analytics providers that handle information on my behalf.
  • From partners or third parties. For example when Shopify or advertising partners provide analytics or performance data about how the store is used.

3. How I use your personal information

  • To provide and improve the Services. Processing and delivering your orders, arranging shipping for physical products, giving you access to digital STL files, managing returns and exchanges, operating your account and improving how the store works.
  • To personalize your experience. Remembering items in your cart, showing relevant products and tailoring parts of the site based on what seems to interest you.
  • Marketing and advertising. Sending you Pixqon news or offers when the law allows, and working with Shopify and certain partners so you may see relevant ads about Pixqon on this site or elsewhere. You can manage these choices as described in the “Your rights and choices” section.
  • Security and fraud prevention. Keeping accounts secure, detecting and investigating suspicious or potentially illegal activity and protecting the Services against misuse.
  • To communicate with you. Responding to your messages, sending order updates and notifying you about important changes to the Services or to this policy.
  • Legal reasons. Meeting tax, accounting and other legal obligations, responding to lawful requests from authorities and enforcing my terms or policies.

4. How your information may be shared

I share personal information only when needed and as allowed by this policy:

  • With Shopify and service providers. Shopify hosts the store and helps process payments, analytics and other core functions. I may also use other companies for shipping, customer support, email, cloud storage or similar services.
  • With business and marketing partners. I may work with advertising or analytics partners who help measure performance or show relevant ads. They handle information under their own privacy policies.
  • When you ask or consent. For example when you choose a particular payment or shipping option, use social media tools, or otherwise direct me to share information.
  • For legal or safety reasons. If required by law or a valid legal request, or when sharing is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Pixqon, my customers or others.
  • Business changes. If the Pixqon business is ever involved in a merger, sale, financing or similar event, your information may be shared as part of that process as allowed by law.

I do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws treat certain uses of analytics or targeted advertising as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Where that applies, you may have rights described in the “Your rights and choices” section and through Shopify’s privacy tools.

5. How Shopify handles your information

The Services are hosted on Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about how you use this store in order to provide, secure and improve its platform. Shopify may also combine information about your activity in this store with information from other stores that use Shopify.

For these activities Shopify is responsible for its own use of your personal information, including for some advertising, analytics and cross merchant features. To learn more about how Shopify handles your information and to exercise rights you may have with Shopify directly, visit their consumer privacy resources:

  • Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
  • Shopify Privacy Portal (to make privacy requests to Shopify): https://privacy.shopify.com/

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies, pixels and similar tools are used so the store can:

  • Remember items in your cart and process orders.
  • Keep you signed in to your account.
  • Understand which pages and products are used most.
  • Support security features and prevent abuse.
  • Support analytics and advertising where allowed by law.

Some cookies are essential for the site to work and cannot be disabled. In some regions you may see a cookie banner that lets you choose additional cookie settings. You can also control cookies in your browser settings, although blocking some cookies may affect how the store works.

7. Security and how long information is kept

I use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. No system or method of transmission is perfectly secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending very sensitive information by unencrypted email or other insecure channels.

I keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect my rights. The exact time can depend on the type of data, for example:

  • Order records are kept for several years to comply with tax and accounting rules.
  • Support emails are kept as long as needed to manage your request and keep a record of important issues.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below with respect to your personal information. These rights are subject to legal limits and may apply only in certain situations.

  • Access / know. Request a copy of the personal information I hold about you.
  • Delete. Ask me to delete certain personal information, subject to legal obligations to keep some records.
  • Correct. Ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Portability. Request a copy of certain information in a portable format, where technically possible.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Depending on your region, you may have a right to opt out of certain analytics or advertising uses that are treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Some of these settings can be managed through Shopify’s privacy tools at https://privacy.shopify.com/.
  • Marketing communications. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in those emails. I may still send non promotional messages such as order updates.

If you visit the store with a browser that has the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, Shopify may treat that signal as a request to opt out of certain types of sale or sharing for that browser, where required by law. You can learn more about Global Privacy Control at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/.

Additional rights for visitors in the EU, EEA or UK

  • Object or restrict processing. In some situations you can ask me to stop or limit certain uses of your information.
  • Withdraw consent. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect processing that has already happened.

To exercise any of these rights in relation to Pixqon, email me at hi@pixqon.com . I may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. Where the law allows, you may also appoint an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, and I may ask for proof of that authorization.

I will not treat you differently or refuse to provide the Services just because you choose to exercise your privacy rights, although some features may not work without certain information.

9. Complaints

If you have concerns about how your personal information is handled, please contact me first so I can try to resolve them. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority or similar regulator.

10. International transfers

The services and providers I use may transfer, store and process your personal information in countries other than the one where you live. When personal information about individuals in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom is transferred outside those regions, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other legal mechanisms are used where required.

11. Children

The Services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by local law. If you believe a child has provided me with personal information, contact me and I will delete it where required. As of the date of this policy, I do not have actual knowledge that I sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age, as those terms are defined in applicable law.

12. Third party websites and links

The Services may link to other sites or services that I do not control, including social media or other stores. Their privacy practices are their own, so I recommend reading their policies. I am not responsible for how those third parties handle your information or for the content on their sites.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, providers I use or legal requirements. When I make changes, I will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. In some cases I may also provide additional notice, such as on the site or by email.

14. How to contact me

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or about your personal information, email me at hi@pixqon.com .
